As an indigenous small business owner, I am very proud to support AIME and Generation One who are trying to end indigenous disadvantage in this country.
On 21 July 3,000 Australians will be donning a limited edition Red AIME Hoodie to support the innovative youth-driven organisation AIME. AIME is a young company, with huge potential for the nation. They are driving a Program across the country that is mentoring Indigenous high school students to see them finish school at the same rate as their Australian brothers and sisters.
At 12:45PM ON WED 21 JULY, the inaugural AIME National Hoodie Day, AIME is calling all the people in Sydney who have received a limited edition Red AIME Hoodie to converge on the steps of Sydney’s majestic Opera House to officially launch a day for the nation.
1PM will see a photo shoot take place that will send a message to all Indigenous kids across the country that we are all willing to step up and walk together to see a day when they have the same chances that many of us take for granted.
If you are not in Sydney (or are unable to get down to the Opera House on the day), take a picture, email it to pics@nationalhoodieday.com and show these kids that people across the nation will walk with them.
