Speaking

The Bowditch Group Speaking Engagements on Social Media Marketing and Small Business
Speaking has become a big part of my business these days and I am really grateful for it.

I love being able to tell the story of how I built three businesses from scratch with no staff or shopfront and without spending a cent on any form of ‘traditional’ marketing or advertising in print, radio or television – instead opting to promote my businesses (and myself) using social media marketing.

I enjoy being able to help others realise they can do the same and that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

In the last twelve months, I have spoken to Chambers of Commerce, Business Groups, PROBUS Groups, Small Business Networking Groups, High Schools and other groups in both Australia and internationally that have an interest in alternate forms of marketing and online marketing in particular.

My presentations generally last between 45 mins and 3 hours, however I have done half-days and two day workshops as well.

A lot of the groups who have asked me to speak this year have wanted varied topics so I have tried to include a bit of everything in the list below, however, if you have a really specific topic you would like me to speak to your group about, please let me know.

PLEASE NOTE: Speaking engagements for 2011, I am happy to say, are filling up fast already so if you would like me to present to your business group, seminar series or organisation, please let me know as soon as possible.

Speaking gigs can be arranged by emailing nick@thebowditchgroup.com.

Requirements

Travel expenses should be worked out on a case by case basis. All travel will be booked by me at a nett rate and I will show you accurate and professional invoices for same.

A deposit is required to confirm the speaking booking. This deposit is non-refundable. Other details of the quote will be assessed on a case by case basis. Payment of the balance is usually due 7 days before the presentation.

I am pretty easy to work with (I think) and will fit in and adapt to most presentation environments, however, there are a few things that I need and if you want me to speak at your function these things have to be set up:

- Reliable audio visual equipment
- Lapel microphone or other microphone if speaking to 25 people or more
- reliable data projector that works well with a Mac
- good size screen

Important

All of my presentations, regardless of the size of the audience, are fun and interactive and require some input from the audience. It’s important to know this before hiring me to speak. If you’re audience are the sort who will just sit quietly and not want to interact and share things with the others in the audience, then I am probably not your man.
